Traditional Accommodation in North Kessock, Inverness

White Cottage is an extended traditional stone cottage which was once inhabited by the ferrymen & their families and is one of the oldest buildings in the village. The property has housed many different life changes over the years from residential to commercial. No matter the season it is a great place to stay & visit. The accommodation is within easy commuting distance, whether it be by the road/rail/air and is ideally located for those cycling/travelling the Land’s End to John o’ Groats route or exploring the NC500.

About the Area

North Kessock is a village which lies on the shore of the Beauly Firth. It is just north of Inverness and is a nice quiet location only a 10 minute drive from the heart of the city and a 20 minute drive from Inverness Airport. White Cottage sits on the waterside where you can watch the Dolphins or just sit & watch the world go by. There is a village shop, post office, gift shop, coastal garden and hotel with public bar all on the doorstep. Also in close proximity you’ll find several beaches, golf courses, scenic walks, castles and distilleries. 

 

About Us

Stuart and Andrea both have extensive experience in the hospitality industry.

Stuart worked as a chef for 35 years in Edinburgh and Inverness before heading up the hospitality department at the University of the Highlands and Islands.

 Andrea studied Hotel Management and Business Studies at Strathclyde University and worked predominantly in Revenue Management then Market Management for an online travel agent. 

In their spare time they like travelling, hiking, scuba diving and gardening.

They took a leap of faith and took over White Cottage in May 2018 and love welcoming guests of all nationalities.
